“A Mother’s Love”
Dear Believer(s)
How would I describe a mother’s love? Let’s look at 1Corinthians 13:1-8, “What if I could speak all languages of humans and of angels? If I did not love others, I would be nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. What if I could prophesy and understand all secrets and all knowledge And what if I had faith that moved mountains? I would be nothing, unless I loved others. What if I gave away all that I owned and let myself be burned alive? I would gain nothing, unless I loved others. Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful proud, or rude. Love isn’t selfish or quick tempered. It doesn’t keep a record of wrongs that others do. Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. Love never fails!” A mother’s love is surely represented in these scriptures.
How would I describe a mother’s love? Galatians 5:22-25 says, “ God’s Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. There is no law against behaving in any of these ways. And because we belong to Christ Jesus, we have killed our selfish feelings and desires. God’s Spirit has given us life, and so we should follow the Spirit. But don’t be conceited or make others jealous by claiming to be better than they are.” A mother’s love is definitely described in these verses.
Mothers definitely have the Spirit of God in them. 1John 4:12-13 says “No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is truly in our hearts. God has given us his Spirit. That is how we know that we are one with him, just as he is one with us.” Oh, how mothers love others and God’s Spirit lives in them.
How would you describe your mother’s love? The many mothers that I pray with today do love their children and are truly concerned about them. They have an undying love for them in their heart. The number one prayer request is for the welfare of their children. What would the world be today without the love of mothers? We thank God for the spirit of love that He has given to our mothers. What a blessing, we do not have to live in a world without their love.
When I think about my mother who is now with the Lord, the first word that comes to mind is unselfishness. My mother prayed for me and her other children before she prayed for herself. She was a prayer warrior for her children. She spent many hours in prayer for her children. She taught me to pray. She would ask me the question, “Sonny boy” have you or did you pray about the situation or problem?” “Did you pray about it?”
In her later years when I asked my mother to pray about a specific prayer need, her answer would be that it is done. But mom, you do not fully understand. Her reply again would be, “it’s done.’’ What she was saying if I have prayed believing, then God would answer my prayer. This is the type of faith she had. The Bible tells us in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
We face many problems in the world today. I believe that if all mothers who have the Spirit of God’s love in them come together and pray, what a God Spirit it would create in the world we live in today. I encourage all mothers who read this letter to spend time in prayer on Mother’s Day for their families. What a difference it would make in their lives.
Today if you are an unsaved mother, I invite you to accept Jesus Christ into your heart. You will never regret it. You need Jesus to handle all the burdens that a mother has to overcome. Please repeat the sinner’s prayer with me; “Father God, I come to you right now. I invite Jesus into my heart. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe that God raised Him from the dead. I surrender my life to Jesus. Lord, come into my heart today and be my Savior and I will be your child. Thank you Lord for saving me and living in me! I pray this prayer in Your Holy Name, in the name of Jesus. Amen!” Praise be to God. If you have repeated this prayer and accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, let me know. I want to praise God for you. I also want to help you as a new born babe in Christ.
Mothers who are saved, I ask you to pray for all mothers you know that have not received Jesus Christ into their lives.
Mothers, we thank you for your love, and we ask God to wonderfully bless you on this Mother’s Day. My prayer is for you to be loved by your loved ones and family today and every day.
Let us pray together; “Dear God, thank you for mothers. We know that they are gifts from the throne of God. Give them love, wisdom, peace and joy in dealing with all of the troubled situations they face. Bless them with long life, prosperity, good health, great spiritual knowledge, obedient children, and power over all the works of the devil. Lord, thank you for your precious gift of mothers and teach us to cherish and love them. We pray this prayer in the name of the in the name of Jesus. Amen!”
I thank all of you who support this ministry, and may the blessings of God overtake you. Ephesians 6:8 says, “Whatever good you make happen for someone else, I will make happen for you.”
Happy Mother’s Day with God’s Love,
