“A Child Is Born”
Dear Believer (s):
A child was born but not just an ordinary child. This birth was the Son of God. The Bible tells us, “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.:” (Isaiah 9:6)
This was no ordinary child. Every day across the Earth, unnumbered souls enter into the world. Each is a beloved son or daughter of God and of earthly parents. But only one child was born for all of us, His name is Jesus. Let’s look at what the angel told Mary about the birth of her son. 26 “Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; [a]blessed are you among women!”29 But [b]when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” 34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I [c]do not know a man?” 35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:26-35)
John 3:16 says, 16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” The main focus of this verse is to emphasize the sacrificial love of God for the world. This love is so powerful that He offered up His one and Only Son, The most precious and beloved person to Him. For the sake of the world.
Mary’s Son was not born by human means. He was born by the Holy Spirit. God knew that the human race needed love. The love of God. God knew that man needed to be brought back to Him. God’s Son was what the world needed then, as well as, what we need now. With all of the problems that we are faced with and experiencing today, we need the Son of God. We need a Savior. We need a Deliverer. We need the Prince of Peace. We need the Spirit of Jesus living within us.
Who knows the hearts of men except God? God knew that men would be filled with evil. He saw that the idols men worshipped would change his nature from the image God created him to be. Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
God knew that man would desire and seek worldly pleasures rather than follow His righteous path. Throughout the life of man, we see the disobedient spirit in his nature, and his total disregard for his Maker, as he preferred to live unrighteous.
This is why a Child was born. The Son of God who would lead man back to his Eternal Father. We do not have to be destroyed by the devil and die in our sins. God’s love for us has delivered and saved us.
Jesus Christ has come as the Savior of the world. He came for all those lost and worshipping the pleasures of the world. He came for you and me. Let those of us who are saved bring to the lost the gift of salvation. We can offer all sinners that we know the opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We can give the gift of everlasting truth, and the gift of love to a hurting and dying world.
Thank you for your financial support of this ministry. The Bible tells us, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38)
Please join me in prayer. “Dear God, this Christmas Season, may you guide us in leading a lost soul to Christ. Let us share God’s Love. Let us be the bearer of Good News, “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Let us share the birth of Christ and the real reason for Christmas with others. We pray this prayer in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” Amen!
I will be in Special Prayer on Christmas Day. Please send me your prayer request.
God is doing great and miraculous things. He has a miracle with your name on it. I will join with you and as we pray, believing and expecting, God will answer our prayer.
Please send your prayer request to: Mind of Christ Ministries, P.O. Box 85, Nutley, NJ 07110.You can also go to our website at: mindofchristminitries.net.
As in previous years, I want to caution Believers how the devil uses the time leading up to, during and after the Holiday Season to steal, kill, and destroy. The devil is able to do this because so many people seem to lose their focus on God. They instead concentrate more on the things of the world, rather than godly things. We can avoid the devils’ traps by not rushing, avoiding stressful situations, financial pitfalls, overspending, being impatient, poor planning, and not getting enough rest. As well as not becoming involved in heated arguments with others. We can do this by godly planning and seeking God’s guidance during these hectic times of over-commercialization of the season.
It’s sad but it is true. Large numbers of individuals will not live to see the New Year. They will be killed by the devices of satan. During the Holiday Season, we experience more killings, robberies, scams by crooks to steal from you, fires, accidents of all types, heart attacks, and other health related problems. We see a large increase in bitter family disagreements, and temper explosions which leads to physical and mental harm. Let us all be led by the Spirit of God during this holiday season.
With Joy, Peace and Love,
