“God Believing Mother’s”
Dear Believer (s):
We have never needed God believing Mother’s like we do today. We need them to show us the way in a world where the “Light of God” seems to be growing dim.
But if you are a God believing Mother today, and have committed your life to Him, you can expect to receive the blessings and miracles of God. A Mother’s love remains obedient and keeps on sowing into the Kingdom of God and they never give up. The Word of God says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” (Psalm 34:19) Jesus said, “And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
Let’s look at mothers who never stopped believing in God. In 1Samuel Chapter 1, we find the story of Hannah. Hannah could not have children. Finally, she prayed unto the Lord, “and she vowed a vow, and said “O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.” (1Samuel 1: 11) The Lord answered Hannah’s prayer and she kept her vow to God. Her son Samuel grew up to become a great prophet, a priest, and a yielded obedient vessel for God.
In Exodus Chapter 2, Jochebed, the Mother of Moses illustrates the power of a godly Mother. She put her three-month-old baby in a handmade basket and hid him on the waters of the Nile River. She did this to protect him from Pharaoh’s mandate to kill all the male Hebrew children. Jochebed did not know that God would use her son to deliver the Israelite people from Egyptian bondage. A godly Mother’s trust in God changed the lives of God’s people.
In Luke Chapter 1, we find that Elizabeth belonged to a priestly family. She was married to a priest by the name of Zechariah. They both lived good lives in God’s sight and obeyed fully all the Lord’s laws and commands. They had no children because Elizabeth could not have any. She and Zechariah were both very old. But in their old age God answered their prayer. Elizabeth became the Mother of John the Baptist, who was the cousin of Jesus Christ. God honored Elizabeth’s faithfulness; she and her husband thought it was too late for them, but God does the impossible for the righteous.
Also, in Luke Chapter 1, the angel Gabriel visits Mary and tells her she has found favor with God. “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in they womb, and bring fourth a son, and shalt call His name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his Kingdom there shall be no end.” (Luke 1: 31-33) Mary’s final reply to the angel Gabriel was, “behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.” Mary believed the message from God and gave birth to the Savior of the world.
Mothers, are you being led by the Spirit of God? Do you trust God to solve all your problems? Have you given your children to God? A Mother’s love and sensitivity to the Spirit of God brings great blessings upon her and her household.
How can one describe or define a mother’s love? I would say that it is love that only God can put into the heart of a woman who is a mother. There is nothing that can destroy a mother’s love. It has the power to endure because it comes from God. It never gives out or gives up. A mother’s love reaches out
to touch the hurting, the lonely, the needy, and those who have no place to turn. It is forgiving and it sees the true path that one should take.
A mother’s love is genuine and never seems to run out. How can a mother’s love be so plentiful and always available? It is because it is not of human nature, but it is of the Spirit of God. God’s Spirit lives in the hearts of mothers who love Him. Because God’s Spirit lives in the hearts of mothers who love him, they are connected to eternal love. They are joined with the Father who is and will forever be “The Father of Love.”
A mother’s love is about making good things happen for others. She knows and understands the verse of scripture found in Ephesians 6:8. “Whatever good you make happen for someone else, I will make happen for you.”
A mother’s love is because of the faith she has in God. She loves God as stated in Deuteronomy 6:5, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” This enables a mother’s love to be pure, unselfish and untiring.
A mother’s love never runs out of the abundance and goodness of God. She lives by what God says in Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
What would the world be without a mother’s love? It would be empty and void of the love seeds that a mother plants. A mother’s love is found everywhere. It is found wherever human life exists.
Mothers who love God are sensitive to the Holy Spirit that lives within them. They know that it is God’s Spirit that gives them wisdom, guidance, discernment, and power. In their daily living, they depend on God.
God is using Mothers today. Mothers who love God are being used to bring about His will. The suffering Mothers endure; the trials they are put through and the love they give; is only known by God.
Mothers, God loves you. He sees your hurt, your pain, and your broken hearts. He has instilled within you great faith, patience, truth, and great love. Jesus said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews13:5) This is why Mothers are able to go on and on. Jesus is living on the inside of them. The Holy Spirit teaches, guides, leads and empowers them. Lord, we thank you for the preciousness, obedience, and love of Mothers.
Let’s pray a very special prayer for all mothers and let’s remember that God gave our mothers’ love and they have shared this love unselfishly.
The world needs a mother’s love. God knew this and this is why He gave us mothers. Mothers, we love you because you are a gift from God. A mother’s love will continue to be strong as we lift them up to God and show our continued respect for them.
If you are a Mother who desires special prayer, please write to me with your request. Fill out the enclosed prayer request form and mail it to me. In James 5:16, it says, “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteousness man availeth much.” I will stand with you regarding your prayer needs. Mothers, let’s believe God for the impossible to happen in answer to our prayers.
Listen very carefully, if you are a Mother who has not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior; let me lead you to Christ right now. Please pray this prayer of confession aloud. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and that He is the Son of God. I believe in my heart that God raised Him up from the dead. I thank you Lord for coming into my heart right now. Teach me to walk in all of your ways for evermore. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen! If you have prayed this prayer and accepted Jesus Christ into your heart, please write to me. I will send you a Bible and I want to help you in your walk with Christ.
Let me remind those of you, who receive the monthly ministry letter, don’t forget to pray and allow God to speak to your heart about supporting His work. I need your help and according to God’s Word, I know that when you give, you will be blessed according to Luke 6:38.
Let’s pray: “Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for Mothers. How precious they are to you and to all of us. Lord, what would we do without mothers? We ask that you bless them in a special way. Perform miracles in their lives and in the lives of their family members. Save the souls of lost Mothers. Lord, for the Mothers who love and serve you, grant them the desires of their hearts. Thank you God for Mothers, we pray in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” Amen!
Happy Mother’s Day
