“Who Else But Jesus? Part 2”

Dear Believer (s):

This is Part II of the continuing message, “Who Else But Jesus?”

Let us pray. “Dear God, we thank You for Your love. We thank You for Your Son who is the only way to You. We pray that His Spirit will be manifested in our lives. This will enable us to walk and live in the Spirit of God. We pray for our families, and for our nation. We thank You Lord for all Your goodness that is promised to us as we live in obedience to You. We pray in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!”

Please review “Who Else But Jesus? Part I” in your July monthly ministry letter. Let’s go now to “Who Else But Jesus? Part II”

Jesus is the Son of God. “And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.” (I John 4:14, 15)

Who else but Jesus died for our sins? “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). He came to save me. I was bound by satan, by a church doctrine, and by a religious spirit. Jesus looked into my heart and said, “Thomas needs me.” I was drowning in self righteousness. Who else but Jesus delivered me?

In the 10th Chapter of Luke, the seventy-two followers that Jesus sent out returned excited because demons were obeying them when they spoke in the name of Jesus. But Jesus told them, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like a flash of lighting.” Jesus wanted them to be happy that their names were written in heaven and not the fact that evil spirits obeyed them.

The Bible tells us in the Book of Luke Chapter 2, that Jesus went missing from his parents for three days when he was twelve. When they found him, He was in Jerusalem in the Temple. They told Him how worried they had been and that they had searched for him for three days. Jesus told His parents, “Why did you have to look for me? Didn’t you know

that I would be in my Father’s House or doing my Father’s work?” Who else but Jesus would be concerned from the beginning to the end about His Father’s work?

Even the demons recognized Jesus and they knew who He was and they had to obey Him. They cried out, “Jesus, Son of God, what do you want with us? Have you come to punish us before our time?” (Matthew 8:29)

In the 14th Chapter of Matthew, Peter saw Jesus walking on the water. He said to Jesus, “Lord, if it is really you, tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come on! Jesus said, Peter then got out of the boat and started walking on the water toward him.” Who else but Jesus could give such a command?

John Chapter 11 tells us about the death of Lazarus. Mary and Martha Lazarus’ sisters sent a message to Jesus telling Him that Lazarus was sick.  When Jesus heard this he said, “His sickness won’t end in death. It will bring glory to God and His son.” Jesus loved Lazarus and his sisters. Jesus stayed where He was for two more days. When Jesus got to Bethany, He found that Lazarus had been dead for four days. Who else but Jesus was able to raise Lazarus from the dead?

Who else but Jesus as He is nailed to the cross in the Book of Luke Chapter 23 would say, “Father, forgive these people! They don’t know what they are doing.”

In Mark Chapter 16, “Mary Magdalene, Salome, and Mary the mother of James bought some spices to put on Jesus’ body. The women went to the tomb and the body of Jesus was not there. However, they saw a young man in a white robe sitting there. The man told them that Jesus from Nazareth, who was nailed to the cross, is not here. God has raised Him to life. Now go and tell His disciples, and Peter, that He will go ahead of you to Galilee. You will see Him there, just as He told you.”

After Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, He sent the Holy Spirit to live in us. When Jesus was here on earth in His bodily form, He was limited to time and space. He could be in only one place at a time. When He said, “I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, who will not only be with you but also in you,” He was saying, I am leaving in my human body form, but I am going to return in my unlimited form, which is in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not limited to time and space. Who else but Jesus?

I pray that you know the Father and are a follower of His Son. Who else but Jesus gives us the joy of the Lord, and comes at the hour of desperation when all hope is gone? When satan thinks that he is about to swallow us up, Jesus says to him STOP! These are my Father’s children. These are my brothers and sisters so take your filthy hands off of them. You cannot kill, steal, or destroy them. They belong to the family of God, and they will never die. Who else but Jesus can do all of these things?

Those of you who are reading this message and do not know Jesus today, right now is the time to accept Him as your personal Savior. I ask you to say this out loud, “Father forgive me of my sins. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I want Him to live in me from this day forth.” Praise the Lord! If you have accepted Jesus today as your Savior please write to me and I will send you a free Bible. I also want to help you to grow in your walk with God. Please contact me so we can discuss any questions you might have.

Let us pray. “Dear God, we thank You for Jesus. He is our Savior! Let us receive Him in His fullness. The world today needs, Who else but Jesus? Jesus can give us peace, love, joy, and all the blessings and promises that God has for us. Do you have Jesus living in your heart today? If not, God’s Son is waiting for you to accept Him. Those of us who are saved let us share the love for Jesus with the unsaved. Lord God, we rejoice in knowing that You have given us a Savior. We give You thanks and praise! We pray in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen!”

Please do not forget I need your help to continue the work of the Gospel. I ask that you pray about supporting the ministry with your financial gifts.

With Love & Prayers,

Thomas Oglesby
